The Libyan Crime Watch Organization demanded Hifter to stop targeting residential gatherings and civilian facilities and not to use them for military purposes, holding him responsible for targeting civilians with warplanes and missiles.
The organization said, on its official page, that the death toll of civilians in the first week of January 2020 amounted to 21 people, including children, and found 5 bodies, and monitored two cases of kidnapping, targeting a hospital, school, university and a civilian landing strip.
The organization called on the United Nations to send a fact finding mission to investigate those responsible for violations, war crimes and crimes against humanity and bring those responsible to justice because it is a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and a flagrant violation of international human rights law, and is classified as a war crime and crimes against humanity.
It is worth noting that Hifter and his militants target the residential areas with indiscriminate missiles and with missiles from drones supporting him, the latest of which is the bombing of the Military College in Alhadba, which killed 33 martyrs and injured 33 others.
