Chavushoglu: The purpose of our visit to Libya is clear and we support the Libyan efforts to hold the perpetrators of the massacres in Libya accountable.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoglu said that the aim of the visit to Libya was clear, which is renew our support again, the exchange of views on ways to solve the Libyan crisis, and put together a plan for the coming period under the umbrella of the United Nations.

Oglu added, during a press conference, on Wednesday, that they discussed with the government of reconciliation the ceasefire, stressing their support for Libyan efforts; To hold everyone accountable for the massacres of Libyans.

Oglu added that the Turkish delegation discussed ways to develop bilateral relations between the two countries and the memoranda of understanding signed with Libya, including those related to delineating maritime jurisdiction areas, and searching and exploring energy sources in the Mediterranean.

The President of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, received, on Wednesday, in Tripoli a Turkish delegation that includes Foreign Minister Mevlüt Chaucoglu, Minister of Treasury and Finance Prat Al-Bayraq, Turkish Ambassador to Libya Sarhan Aksan, Chief of Intelligence Hakan Fidan, and a number of senior officials of the Presidency and the Turkish government.
