Central Elections Announces the Start of the Second Phase of the Municipal Council Elections

The Central Committee of Municipal Elections, on Tuesday, announced the beginning of the second electoral phase for the election of the municipal councils of the municipalities that have ended their jurisdiction.

In a statement, the committee pointed that this stage aims to elect 71 municipalities that have completed their legal mandate, in addition to the election of municipal councils of municipalities that have not elected a council before.

The committee indicated that it will open the voter registration system in November.

The Presidential Council allocated 15 million dinars as the first batch of elections to the municipal council, which had ended its mandate.
