Cavusoglu: The representative of Aqila Saleh recently visited Turkey and we seek to define a roadmap for our relations with Egypt.

Turkish Foreign Minister “Mevlut Cavusoglu” confirmed on Wednesday that his country is communicating with the eastern region in Libya, adding that the representative of Aqila Saleh visited Turkey recently.

In a related context, Cavusoglu clarified, in a press statement carried by the Anadolu Agency, that the visit of the Egyptian delegation to Libya recently is not related to the visit of Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar to Tripoli, indicating that his country is seeking to define a roadmap with Egypt regarding their future bilateral relations.

Cavusoglu added that communication with Egypt at the intelligence level has not stopped, as well as the existing dialogue between the foreign ministries of the two countries, noting that there are efforts to move according to the principle of non-conflict in international forums.

It is worth noting that an Egyptian delegation that included, the Ministry of Defense and Foreign Affairs, and the Deputy Head of the Intelligence Service visited Tripoli, Sunday, and the escalation of the dispute between the Speaker of the House of Representatives Aqila Saleh and Haftar, regarding the representation of the eastern region in the formation of the executive authority to be agreed upon in the Libyan political dialogue sessions.
