Writer and political analyst Mohamed Buisier said that Libya has the right to reach an understanding with whom it likes as long as it is in its interest.
Buisier added in his said in a Facebook page.“We should consider attempts by the quartet alliance of Egypt, Greece, Cyprus and Israel regarding the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Libya and Turkey, as not unimportant, and irrelevant”.
Buisier pointed out that the quartet of the Eastern Mediterranean alliance wants to exclusively exploit the gas beneath the seabed, estimated at one hundred and fifty trillion cubic meters without consulting with Libya, noting that the exclusion of Lebanon, Palestine and Turkey, reflected on the demarcation of the maritime border between the “four allies” and joint ventures.
Buiser confirmed that there is preparation for a pipeline from Haifa to Cyprus and Greece, pointing out that Egypt and Israel have signed a joint marketing agreement under which Egypt will market some of Israel’s gas production.
It is worthnoting that the President of the Presidential Council Fayez Saraj signed on Wednesday two memorandums of understanding with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan;; for security and maritime cooperation between the two countries.
