Bashagha discusses with the Egyptian delegation ways to support the ceasefire agreement and the outputs of the 5 + 5 committee.

On Sunday, Interior Minister Fathi Bashagha discussed with the Egyptian delegation visiting Tripoli ways to support the ceasefire agreement and the outputs of the 5 + 5 committee. In order to support the international efforts on political dialogue, and to get out of the current crisis by political and peaceful means.

Bashagha discussed with the delegation, in the presence of the head of the intelligence service, Imad Trabelsi, common security challenges, and ways to enhance security cooperation between the two countries, according to the official page of the Ministry of Interior.

It is worth noting that this is the first visit of an Egyptian delegation to Tripoli since 2014, and includes officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Intelligence, headed by the General Undersecretary of the Egyptian General Intelligence Service and the head of the Egyptian Committee concerned with the Libyan file, Major General Ayman Badae.
