Bashaga: Russia sent 8 fighter jets to Haftar, some dating back to the Soviet era.

Interior Minister Fathi Bashaga said that Russia sent at least 8 fighters to the Haftar militia in eastern Libya, which arrived from the Hmeimim base in Syria.

Bashaga added, Wednesday, in a statement to the American Bloomberg Agency, that among the 6 “Mig-29” and 2 “Su-24” fighters, some of them date back to the Soviet era, according to what was quoted by Anatolia Agency.

The agency noted that so far no statement has been issued by the Russian side on these accusations

It is worth noting that, within 48 hours, the Libyan Air Force announced the destruction of 6 Russian-made Pantsir systems, which the Emirates had supported the Haftar militias with at the Alwittia air base, Tarhuna city, and the Alwishka area.
