Asarraj: The Brotherhood is a political orientation and it makes no sense to treat them with “phobia”.

President of the Presidential Council, Fayez Asarraj, said that the Brotherhood’s organization is an existing political orientation, and it is not logical that the UAE and Egypt treat it with “phobia”.

Al-Sarraj added, in an interview with Al-Jazeera, on Tuesday, that the Muslim Brotherhood is a political spectrum that exists in several Arab countries, and that the Muslim Brotherhood cannot be bombed anywhere.

Asarraj confirmed that the Brotherhood’s organization became civilised in the 2012 and 2014 elections, which witnessed a clear representation of the political spectrum in Libya, and whoever wants to make sure, review the political map.

Asarraj explained that we should accept the political solution and all initiatives and talk about the political solution is not naive, and at the same time we are preparing ourselves and looking to find alliances with many parties to defend our legitimacy.

It is worth noting that the UAE and Egypt have tried to justify their intervention in Libya by fearing the Islamist Brotherhood movement and its control over Libya.
