President of the Presidential Council, Fayez Asarraj, said that it hurts us that the Arab League’s inability to hold a session at the delegate level to discuss Hifter’s aggression on Tripoli, while the league rushs to hold sessions on issues less important than the Libyan crisis.
On Monday, on the sidelines of the 43rd session of the Human Rights Council, Asarraj confirmed his eagerness to meet the brothers to inform them frankly about aspects of the Libyan crisis, which need the formation of an effective Arab position towards it, according to him.
Asarraj added that the time has come for the countries supporting Hifter and his aggression to realize that they lost their bet on this rebel who ignited the war. There is no point in supporting him except to prolong the crisis and kill more Libyan youth and destroy the infrastructure.
It is worth noting that Foreign Minister Mohamed Siala stated, last July, that there were eight countries that opposed the holding of any emergency session of the League of Arab States to discuss the situation in Libya.
