The American magazine “Foreign Policy” revealed that the Congressional Foreign Affairs Committee presented a bill to force the administration of President Donald Trump to impose sanctions on Russia for its interference in Libya.
The magazine added, on Tuesday, that the Libyan stability law, which is likely to be issued this week, will impose mandatory sanctions on Russia within 6 months, which will give the White House the authority to freeze the funds of those who are included in US banks, and impose sanctions on Egypt if its president, Abdelfattah Alsisi, continues in his threats to send troops to Libya to support Haftar.
It is worth noting that the newspaper, “The Wall Street Journal” revealed, on Sunday, that Washington may impose sanctions on Khalifa Haftar because of his links with Russia.
