The first deputy speaker of the parliament, Jalal Al-Shuwaihdi, said on Sunday that what Egyptian President Abdelfattah El-Sisi announced in the presence of Aqeela and Haftar is a political maneuver, not an initiative.
Al-Shuwaihdi expressed his surprise , in a statement to Arraed, what was stated in this maneuver that the victorious army who is chasing the fleeing remnants of the Haftar militia should hand over his weapon, indicating that this maneuver did not come with anything new , and its points are illogical.
Al-Shuwaihdi added that if Haftar sees the military forces of the legitimate GNA as militias, then what are the militias affiliated with him, which are made up of Al-Kani militias, and the militias of the so-called Adil Daab, and others, whom he previously described as the militias.
Al-Shuwaihdi emphasized that in the countries of the world we have not seen a country sit and negotiate and sit with the Islamic State, al-Qaeda and other terrorists, so how does Haftar now ask to sit and return to the political process with those he described with these names.
It is worth noting that the Egyptian President Abdelfattah El-Sisi announced, on Saturday, from Cairo in the presence of the head of the aggressor militia Haftar and the head of the deputies of Tobruk Aqeela Saleh, a political initiative to end the conflict in Libya. It calls for a ceasefire and the formation of a new presidential council composed of a president, two deputies, and a separate head of government in a transitional period of one and a half years.
