Al-Senni: The Decision to Freeze the Libyan Assets Benefits Banks and “Mafias”

The political adviser to the President of the Presidential Council Taher Al-Senni stated that the decision to freeze the assets under the alleged reason of protecting the Libyan funds enables the international banks and “Mafias” to manipulate and deplete it.

In a tweet on his official Twitter account, on Friday, Al-Senni said that if the freeze on these funds is halted in the shadow of division and conflict, they will all be lost. Also, calling, “To stop the conflict of legitimacy and to make the people choose their destiny to build a unified state that will recover the Libyans’ livelihood and end this mockery.”

The Belgian media revealed the withdrawal of about 5 billion dollars of Libyan funds frozen in the banks of Belgium in the Article of the Security Council in 2011.
