Al-Sarraj: Turkey is an Important Partner, and its Withdrawal from Palermo is Being Questioned by the Italians

The head of the presidential council of the Al-Wefaq Government, Faiz Al-Sarraj, on Thursday, described Turkey as an “important partner”.

According to the Italian newspaper, “AKI”, Al-Sarraj said, “Turkey is an important partner and we have a long common history together, and the withdrawal of its delegation from Palermo is very unfortunate,” adding that the motives of leaving the Turkish delegation are questioned by the Italians.

Turkish Vice President Fouad Aktay, on Tuesday, announced his country’s withdrawal from the international conference on Libya held in Palermo following the exclusion of his country from participating in a mini-summit of heads of delegations.
