Member of the Supreme Council of State, Idris Abu Faied, called on members of the Council to narrow the disagreement with the election law issued by Parliament Speaker Aqila Saleh, and to fill the necessary gaps and deficiencies in it.
Abu Faied demanded – according to his Facebook page – the Supreme Council of State and its supporters from the national movements to document the points of contention identified in the law and to add the required amendments to it.
Abu Faied added that there is no fundamental difference in the texts of the law, except for “Articles (10-12) and that there is no logical and practical way to resolve the contradiction between the two councils, except by raising the two drafts to the Supreme Judicial Council, and that the consensual draft between them is referred to the Presidential Council as a whole, for approval.
It is worth noting that the Speaker of the House of Representatives issued on the 9th of this September the presidential election law and referred it to the United Nations Support Mission in Libya.
