30 bodies were recovered from a mass grave in Tarhuna, and the numbers are increasing.

A member of the Libyan Red Crescent and responsiblel for the corpses in the city of Tarhuna, Abdulmoneim Abu Sbeih, said on Wednesday that the number of bodies exhumed from a mass grave in Tarhuna today reached 30 bodies.

In a statement to Arraed, Abu Sbeih clarified that the opening of the cemetery came after a communication by an African worker working in the city, adding that the recovery operation is carried out by the General Authority for Research and Identification of Missing Persons in cooperation with the Libyan Red Crescent Society.

Abu Sbeih added, that the process of extraction will continue, explaining that the bodies that were exhumed were transferred to the morgue in Tripoli, to match the samples and identify the owners of the dead bodies.

It is worth noting that the Libyan army and the supporting force in the Volcano of Anger operation found 106 bodies at Tarhuna General Hospital killed by Al-Kani militias and the gangs that controlled the city.
