150 illegal migrants rescued in international waters

On Saturday the Libyan coast guard returned a boat carrying more than 150 illegal immigrants back to Libya – who were trying to reach Italy.
According to Reuters the guards intercepted the rubber boat carrying the migrants off the coast between Khoms and Castelverde. The engine of the boat had stopped working in territorial waters and a Italian Coast Guard patrol delivered the migrants back to a Libyan ship.

The head of the Libyan ship, which brought the migrants back to the port of Tripoli, said that they saved the migrants from drowning with Italian help, according to Reuters.
